ISE closes its 2023 edition with its sights set on content production

58,107 attendees from 155 countries have filled the pavilions of Fira Barcelona within the framework of ISE 2023, a fair dedicated to the audiovisual industry that has definitively opened to the content creation industry.

Returning to its usual January/February slot on the AV calendar, ISE 2023 had a “record occupancy” in hotels, bars and entertainment venues across the city, and with exhibitors reporting an “unprecedented influx” at stands across the greater show floor in the history of ISE.

In the words of Mike Blackman, general director of Integrated Systems Events: “It was an extraordinary week and it is very gratifying for us to look back and realize that we organized an exceptional fair for our sector and for the wonderful city of Barcelona. We had an unprecedented influx of visitors, we exhibited a large amount of content and inspiring elements.”

The fair featured 56,870 square meters distributed among six pavilions and the different demonstration rooms.

A future marked by the production and distribution of content

Aside from trends such as the commitment to sostenibilidad, las immersive micro experiences or the versatility of the systems decentralized, many of the looks of ISE 2023 have been placed in the new area of content production and distribution, which debuted in Hall 6. With a mix of creativity and technical solutions, the new area sought to inspire integrators and end users by hosting technical demonstrations from companies such as Mediapro, CCMA, Brainstorm o Alfalite, among other companies, and conferences by prominent names such as Stephen Nuttal, head of television America’s Cup sailing.

The ISE 2023 organization has already confirmed that the 2024 edition will redouble its efforts to attract even more exhibitors in this area, in which technology broadcast, whether in production or content management, will occupy an increasingly predominant role.

ISE will return to Barcelona in 2024 of the Tuesday, January 30 to Friday, February 2. The fair will remain in the Catalan city, at least, until 2025, as Mike Blackman has also confirmed in several interviews.
