The 5G Forum starts its 2023 edition with its sights set on 6G
Under the motto 'Where 5G leaders meet', the 5G Forum What is now its sixth edition starts this Monday and it does so at the Seville Congress and Exhibition Palace (FIBES), with two in-person sessions, May 8 and 9, and three virtual ones, May 10, 11 and 12.
This sixth edition of the 5G Forum will be attended by Antonio Fernández-Paniagua, who will be in charge of presenting the new 5G map in Spain so far in 2023. In addition, it will also give the keys about the situation of the aid that the Ministry is calling for the implementation and deployment of 5G.
For his part, the Deputy Mayor of Seville, Francisco Javier Paez, who will be the star host of the province, will welcome all the professionals and visitors who are at the Palace of Congresses and Exhibitions on behalf of the city.
The Junta de Andalucía, as it could not be otherwise, will also be present through the Counselor of the Presidency Antonio Sanz, who will hold a presentation in which he will advance the processes in which 'Digital Andalusia' is immersed. The Junta de Andalucía has made an important commitment to digital transformation in the Community. For this purpose, it has created the Andalusian Digital Agency (ADA), whose purpose is for technology to facilitate the lives of all Andalusian citizens, being an engine of economic and social change.
In addition to the institutions, there will be many multinationals that will gather at FIBES tomorrow, Monday. Orange, through its Presales Director, Javier Olveira, will give a presentation that will discuss what the different private networks that exist in 5G are like today.
On the part of Telefónica, Leonor Ostos, innovation manager; and José Antonio González Florido, head of Digital Business, will talk about the Spanish company's vision of the current 5G situation, as well as the most relevant projects they have tackled and what still remains to come from 5G in the coming years.
Minsait, through Daniel García Manteiga, Director of Products and Business Development for Telco and Media; and Francisco Donato Bergia, Director of Infrastructure Operations (Phygital), will hold a panel on solutions for private networks, both in 5G and 6G, through Data and Artificial Intelligence.
On the other hand, they will also intervene James Sanpera, CEO and co-founder of Sateliot; Noelia Lopez, Sustainability and AI Marketing Driver de Ericsson; Pablo Alvarez, Managing Director de Netmetrix, in addition to a panel on the city of Seville in which they will participate Antonio Jimenez, CEO of Sevilla City Office; Federico Rollan, Responsible for the Smart Tourism Office; y Jose Ayub, CEO and Co-Founder of Galgus.
Demonstrations
This opening day will be the perfect opportunity to enjoy the main innovations that leading multinationals in the world of technology will make available to attendees at FIBES.
Empresas como Minsait, Nokia, Viavi Solutions, Rohde & Schwarz, Telefónica, Tesla, Orange, Medina Media Events o UHD Spain estarán presentes en la zona destinada a las demostraciones en el Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones.
The Finnish Nokia will present up to three demos. The first is a Pinball game that has the novelty of being able to be played with Distributed Reality. There will also be a demo called The volcano, which will allow attendees to walk on an erupting volcano and control its movements thanks to virtual reality technology. The third will be a robot dog called Perkins, designed for surveillance and first aid.
For its part, Orange will present a store in the Metaverse where visitors can enter with their own avatar and make purchases. There will also be a tennis court that will allow playing in real time thanks to 5G technology and Virtual Reality glasses. On the other hand, Telefónica will present 'Spainclick', a color scheme with which it aims to surprise attendees.
Tesla, the company led by Elon Musk, will allow participants to test several smart cars on a closed circuit. Minsait will present a robotic arm with 5G connectivity.
The German company Rohde & Schwarz presentará su plataforma R&S®CMX500, que simplifica y hace más eficiente el proceso de pruebas 5G. Viavi Solutions expondrá un análisis de señales 5G, incluyendo cobertura, temporización y sincronismo, interferencias, mmWave y pruebas EMF.
For its part, the association UHD Spain will show Ultra High Definition content that can be broadcast through 5G technology. Finally, Medina Media Events, organizer of the event, will present its multiplatform The Observatory.
