The neutral network supplier on FTTH uses the Remote Program Monitor (RPM) Observer to control the video services delivered through its network.

Volicon ObserverPublic Infrastructure Management of the Principality of Asturias (GIT), neutral network supplier on FTTH, is using the Remote Program Monitor (RPM) observer of Volicon to control the video services delivered through your network. Supplied by the systems integrator JokerTV, the Observer system makes it easy for git personnel monitor signals from different points of direct contribution and checking how these signals reach the end user.

Iván Díaz, GIT Business Development Manager, has assured that “by providing return video, with automatic extraction of defective clips, and the issuance of alert Services, regardless of where they originate, we maintain a real control over the video services provided throughout the network. ”

Installed locally or in a remote location, the Observer RPM 400 system continually analyzes all channels with their mandatory tests. The system automatically detects failures as missing, frozen, or black, or macroblocking audio levels. When these errors are produced, or when the quality of emission falls below the predefined thresholds, the volicon system sends one (by email and SNMP) to git engineers. The system also includes clips that illustrate the failure, which facilitates the rapid resolution of the problem by engineering staff.

Git carried out the deployment and currently maintains the Astur network of neutral optical communications). On the other hand, it provides connectivity services to the administration of the Principality of Asturias, linking various venues with the CPD Central and configuring the new SIAI network of hospital services.

It also carried out the extension of the coverage of the DTT to percentages close to 100% of the population of the Principality, installing equipment and improving infrastructure in 350 locations.
