Volicon creates Producer Module, an option for the Observer system
At IBC 2009, Volicon will introduce new product extensions aimed at improving access, reformatting, sharing and troubleshooting in audio and video.
Volicon will show at IBC'09 its new Producer Module, an option for the Observer, which allows broadcasters to repurpose their content in various formats providing an easy-to-use platform for content recorded by the Observer. With this new module, the user can search and retrieve the desired video segment with frame precision, the system transcoding the clip into one of the chosen formats, automatically outputting to both DVD and Web/FTP. The Observer system has also been enhanced with features such as logo recognition to automate business identification and marking in streaming and archival video, integration with video archiving software to create a comprehensive surveillance and storage system that incorporates LTO RAID connectivity with robotics, as well as voice recognition technology to automate the conversion of annotated text in real time.
Another novelty from Volicon is the Reconciliation Report Module intended for the generation of reports such as execution records, transit schedules... providing automatic notifications to the sales department in case of discrepancies with full control over possible errors. Another solution worth highlighting is Content Matching Module
which allows operators to mark and access specific audio tracks when they appear on a broadcast. The user enters a clip into the server and when the audio appears in a broadcast the system issues a “content match” alert with a link that gives the user immediate access to the video in which the segment occurred.
