AOL buys video platform Adap.tv
The Adap.tv platform is aimed at advertisers who want to place advertising on video sites.
The American media group AOL has just announced the acquisition for $405 million of the Adap.tv platform, aimed at advertisers who want to place their advertisements on video sites.
AOL will pay 322 million in cash and 83 million in shares. Tim Armstrong, president of AOL, said: “AOL is the leader in online video and the combination of AOL with Adap.tv will create the industry's first video platform.”
For his part, Amir Ashkenazi, president of Adap.tv, maintains that "we think that the fundamentals of television advertising will soon be marketed on platforms like ours."
