New call for Imagenera, the Documentary Creation Contest on the Memory of Andalusia
Imagenera aims to recover and share real, imagined or symbolic representations that have to do with Andalusia, with its history, identity and culture, in order to preserve the universality, diversity and richness of its collective imagination.
The Documentary Creation Contest on the Memory of Andalusia, Imagenera, has registration open for a new call for this unique proposal, unique on the national scene, promoted by the Center for Andalusian Studies, a foundation attached to the Ministry of the Presidency and Equality of the Government of Andalusia.
Imagenera aims to recover and share real, imagined or symbolic representations that have to do with Andalusia, with its history, identity and culture, in order to preserve the universality, diversity and richness of its collective imagination. It is not limited to any era or any theme, it is an open invitation to promote knowledge and research around the Memory of Andalusia through artistic expression and creative language.
The contest also has a premeditated international vocation, since memory is not an exclusive heritage, but a universal issue. After six years, the number of participants has been growing with each new edition, with Imagenera being one of the most notable events related to audiovisual creation in the specialized circuits.
As the main novelty in 2013, the Imagenera awards will be presented within the framework of the Seville European Film Festival, which will be held from November 8 to 16, during a gala that will include the screening of the film that won the first prize of this contest.
En plazo para presentar las obras a esta séptima edición de este concurso, cuyo primer premio está dotado de 7.000 euros y 3.000 el segundo, concluye el próximo 13 de septiembre de 2013.
