The FCM-PNR will offer three official sections composed of 58 works, in addition to programming six other parallel sections: Tribute to… Javier Aguirre, Premiere Night: Alata y Frontera, Experimenta-New Cinema, Shorts for Food, Children's Sessions: Little Animac Camina and Chulpicine y Blank Paper, thus forming a wide and varied program.

22 FCM-PNRThe 22nd edition of the Madrid Film Festival (FCM-PNR) is preparing to fill the Sala Berlanga, from October 1 to 6, kicking off next Monday, September 30 at 6:30 p.m. with the official presentation of the festival and the subsequent premiere of two unreleased feature films, ALATA, the debut feature by Israeli director Michael Mayer, and Frontera, film by Manuel Pérez shot in cooperative inside the prison Four Ways of Granollers.

The section Tribute to… is dedicated to paying tribute to the figure and work of Javier Aguirre, with the programming of five sessions at the Cine Doré of the Spanish Film Library, where his most avant-garde filmography will be exhibited, with works that question the limits between artistic expressions, and an open meeting will take place with Javier Aguirre, an author who has built part of the country's cinematographic history.

Among the works in the official section, five feature films, thirty short films and twenty-three works in the PNR section intended for members' short films will be exhibited. In addition to the usual awards, the New Directors Platform association continues to support a greater number of filmmakers for another year by paying all those selected for the exhibition of their works, thus seeking to strengthen the industry of both short films and independent feature films by distributing the amounts among more authors and producers who, surely, will invest in upcoming works.
