Crowdfunding is gaining popularity as a source of financing in the cultural and creative industries. While many crowdfunding campaigns are local in nature, others benefit from easier access to funding in a single European market. But to ensure that crowdfunding is not just a momentary fading trend, but rather a sustainable source of financing for new European projects, certain guarantees are needed, in particular to ensure people's trust.
The consultation covers all forms of crowdfunding, ranging from donations and rewards to financial investments. Everyone is invited to share their opinions and fill out the online questionnaire, including citizens who can contribute to the campaigns and crowdfunding entrepreneurs who could launch these types of campaigns. National authorities and crowdfunding platforms are also especially encouraged to participate (before December 31) in the consultation.
Access to the consultation.
