Televisa updates its sQ Enterprise news system and chooses Pablo Rio for the promos

One of the largest broadcasters and producers in Spanish renews its trust in Quantel to improve the speed and quality of news and promotions.

The Mexican Televisa has just commissioned Quantel upgrading its Quantel Enterprise sQ news production system and has opted for the Pablo Rio color correction and finishing system for its digital creative and promotions production department.

With this update, Televisa will adopt the latest V5 version of Enterprise sQ, which will allow it to benefit from a 64-bit environment and Windows 7, as well as all the latest features introduced by Quantel. These include faster, more flexible editing and loudness measurement tools and improvements to file-based workflows.

Regarding the purchase of Pablo Rio, this advanced correction and finishing system will allow the Mexican broadcaster to boost the production of promotions while serving as the basis for the imminent 4K production.

The new 'deliver to sQ' feature will allow the content created by Pablo Rio to be transferred automatically to Televisa's Enterprise sQ system in HD resolution, ready to go on air.

Elías Rodríguez, General Director of Operations at Televisa, highlighted that "our Quantel system is very solid and continues to meet all of our news production needs. We are also happy that Quantel continues to develop the system so that we can take advantage of the full potential and evolution of the file-based workflow. The Rio Pablo system, with its all-in-one color correction and finishing approach will improve the productivity of our promotions and will also provide us with a platform to enter 4K production."
