The contract will mean that the German group continues to use Norigi's television and VOD client applications and its Live Hosted Headend platform for the distribution of content to mobile phones and cards.

Deutsche TelekomNorigin Media has renewed its contract with DTAG (Deutsche Telekom) for its television and VOD services through mobile devices. The contract will mean that the German group continues to use Norigi's television and VOD client applications and its Live Hosted Headend platform for the distribution of content to mobile phones and cards.

Norigin has been providing streaming services to Deutsche Telekom in Germany and Austria since 2008, including the introduction of the first iOS client applications for TV and VOD services.

The client application suite has been configured to support the requirements of several countries under the T-Mobile brand.

The service has been a great success among Deutsche Telekom subscribers, who enjoy live channels such as ARD, ZDF, ProSieben, Sat.1 and Sky Bundesliga.

Norigin Media CEO Espen Erikstad acknowledges that "it is exciting when a major player like Deutsche Telekom supports our services. We see the renewal of this contract as a sign of confidence in our approach and solutions that meet the changing needs of television, an incredibly dynamic sector everywhere."
