TVE opens a correspondent in Rio de Janeiro with María Oña at the helm

RTVE appoints Luis Javier Alcalá, new head of National Information and Ana Marta Ersoch, editor of the Telediarios Fin de Semana.

The Spanish Radio Television Corporation (RTVE) has opened its first correspondent in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). At the head of it will be the journalist María Oña (Melilla, 1965). Oña has previously been a correspondent in Paris, London, Jerusalem and Lisbon, the latter city from which he has reported for the last five years.

In his long professional career he has worked in countries such as Mauritania, Jordan, Senegal, Guatemala, Panama and Venezuela, among others.

On the other hand, TVE has appointed Luis Javier Alcalá Fernández (Madrid, 1976) responsible for National Information in the Information Services, who will replace Cristina Ónega who faces a new professional stage as co-director of the Communication Office of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ).

With a degree in Information Sciences from the San Pablo CEU University and a Master's degree in Radio from the Complutense University of Madrid, Alcalá has been linked to RNE since his professional beginnings. He joined RTVE by competitive examination in 2003. Throughout his long career he has been part of the team of several stations such as RNE Las Palmas, RNE Elche, which he directed, and RNE Valencia. He has collaborated with the main RNE magazines and with the program Spain Direct, on topics related to tourism and gastronomy. presented By profession a consumer on Radio 5. Since August 2012 he has directed the Local Area of ​​RNE Madrid and presents the news program Crónica de Madrid. His work has been recognized with the 2013 Antena de Plata award in the radio category.

Finally, Ana Marta Ersoch will be the new editor of the Fin de Semana News News, replacing Ángeles Bandrés. Graduated from the University of Navarra (1997) and Higher Program in Audiovisual Companies from the Instituto de Empresa (2004), she joined RTVE in 2000.

He has worked on Canal 24 Horas, on the Telediario and on TVE Breakfasts as editing coordinator of the program between 2005 and 2007. In her most recent stage at TVE, as assistant to the Directorate of Territorial Centers, she has carried out the coordination of different programs produced by the Territorial Centers of TVE and, later, as Coordinator of CCTT. Since September 2013 she has worked as deputy editor of the Weekend News.
