Pablo Blanco: “working with Álex de la Iglesia is very easy”
When collecting his award, the 2014 Goya for Best Editing remembers colleagues who “cannot work because there is no production and many times they do not hire new people.”
In what has been the night of The witches of Zugarramurdi, Pablo Blanco has a lot to do with the success of this production. His work has been recognized with the Goya for best Editing in a complex, dynamic and fast-paced film.
"It is a very special and very difficult job for the entire team in which we have had a great time and we have had the satisfaction of a splendid result. The truth is that working with Álex de la Iglesia is very rewarding because he makes everything very easy for you from the beginning, since his instructions are very clear and precise," declared Pablo Blanco.
Álex de la Iglesia's instructions for this work, as detailed by the recent winner of the 2014 Goya for Best Editing, have been “that there is rhythm, speed, that people are entertained and not bored and that is what we have tried to do both in terms of the editing and the post-production of the film.” The assembly was carried out at Enrique Cerezo PC's own facilities.
During his acceptance speech at the gala, Blanco remembered his editing colleagues, who “can't work because there is no production and many times they don't hire new people.”
