BeIN Sports now has 2.3 million customers in the Middle East and Africa
56% of BeIN Sports Arabic clients are concentrated in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
BeIN Sports Arabic, the new commercial brand after the disappearance of Al Jazeera Sports, has increased its customer base by 26% in the last year, totaling 2.43 million active subscribers in the 23 countries of the Middle East and Africa.
According to Dataxis data, 56% of BeIN Sports Arabic clients are concentrated in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates with 1.34 million subscribers.
On the contrary, the takeoff of the channel in countries like Lebanon, Algeria or Tunisia is not growing as expected due to piracy. Precisely to fight against illegal access to its content, BeIN Sport has been adopting new technical measures since March, making it necessary to receive a specific receiving device that the operator will make available to its clients.
In terms of reception modes, 81% of BeIN Sports Arabic subscribers in the Middle East and North receive the signal by satellite compared to the rest who do so through IPTV platforms.
