The spot for the 2014 Cycling Tour of Spain will be filmed in Cádiz
The artist Sara Baras, who performed at the gala presentation of the tour held last January in Cádiz, will be the image of this year's edition that will begin in Jerez de la Frontera on August 23.
The spot will begin filming next week and will show images recorded in Jerez, Cádiz, San Fernando, the Bay of Algeciras, the Sierra, Tarifa, and Vejer, among other places in the province. The agreement reached between Unipublic, the organizing company of La Vuelta, and TVE will allow the broadcast in the months of July, August and September of 500 screenings of this advertisement, which will have three versions of different lengths: 20, 30 and 45 seconds. In addition, a piece of more than one minute will be created for the Internet and social networks and a presentation of the making-off of the filming.
Guillén has highlighted the enormous impact from a promotional point of view that this 69th edition of La Vuelta, and its promotional spot, will have and has estimated at more than half a million euros what a campaign of this nature would cost to promote the province of Cádiz on national television.
The organization estimates that the caravan that accompanies the athletes brings direct benefits, with 1.2 million euros in the stay in each city, so its impact in the province would reach 6.5 million euros. In terms of media dissemination, it is known that at least 300 journalists, including a hundred belonging to foreign media, will be accredited for the official start and that the images of Cádiz during the competition can be seen by more than one hundred million viewers from around the world. In 2013, La Vuelta generated 25,000 news items in 252 different media.
