J. Bayona will shoot in the Audiovisual Parc de Catalunya and English locations his next film
After months of preproduction and a great work of selection of locations, Bayona and the Apaches Entertainment team have chosen to roll ‘to Monster Calls (a monster comes to see me)’ in the Terrassa facilities.

To Monster Calls (a monster comes to see me) It is the title of the new action and fantasy film by Juan Antonio Bayona. After months of preproduction and a great work of selection of locations, the film Bayona and the Apaches Entertainment team has decided that it will be surrounded mostly in the Parc Audiovisual de Catalunya (for half a year) and also in scenarios of England. Bayona bets to continue making high -level cinema at home with recognized professionals (many of them regular from Parc as the renowned photography director Oscar Faura), regular teams and PARC facilities as a stage at the height of this great production.
The film will star Liam Neeson and Felicity Jones. Who was the protagonist of Schindler's list He will work again with a Spanish director, after starring Jaume Collet Serra, Without identity (2011) and, more recently, Non-stop (2014), which reached number one of the American box office.
A child, monsters and fairies
The film, based on Patrick Ness's book, revolves around a child who tries to deal with his mother's illness and the abuses he receives from his classmates at school, escaping towards a fantastic world of monsters and fairy tales.
The producer is belen atienza at the head of Apaches Entertainment (The labyrinth of the faun, the impossible, the orphanage) and has the support of Focus Features and Lionsgate for its financing and distribution in the United States. Its premiere is scheduled for 2016.
