The films shot at the Parc Audiovisual de Catalunya, 'Julia's Eyes' and 'Agnosia' open the 43rd edition of the International Fantastic Cinema Festival of Catalonia, which is being held in Sitges until the 17th.

At the Sitges Festival, the Parc Audiovisual de Catalunya has two good representatives of the filming possibilities offered by its facilities in Terrassa. Julia's Eyes, directed by Guillem Moralea, opened the Festival last weekend. The film, starring Belén Rueda and Lluís Homar, was filmed in the Parc at the end of 2009 and is the result of the collaboration of the production company Rodar y Rodar and the filmmaker Guillermo del Toro, after the success of their previous project The orphanage. Before passing through Sitges, the film has already been present at the Toronto Film Festival, obtaining a very good reception. It will be released on October 29 in theaters throughout Spain.

Besides, Agonosis, the most anticipated thriller of this season, was screened on the 8th in the official section. This is the second feature film by director Eugenio Mira after his debut in The Birthday, which was also recorded at the Parc Audiovisual de Catalunya.

The cast is headed by Eduardo Noriega, Bárbara Goenaga, Félix Gómez and Martina Gedeck. The production was carried out by Roxbury Films, Telecinco Cinema and Madrugada Films. Filming took place on the Parc sets in the months of November and December of last year. The film will be released in commercial theaters on November 5.
