On Friday, June 13, the Minister Council approved a Royal Decree in which the bonuses in the Social Security contribution of the investigating personnel are regulated.
This incentive to the research activity will have a special effect in a sector such as the technological that supports more than a third of private investment in Spain in R&D.

From the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (Mineco) they consider that this legislative measure will mean the creation of about 500 jobs in the next three years. In addition, the bases to attract investments in R&D and compete in the global field as an attractive country for research development are established.
The Government has also wanted to underline that small and medium -sized companies that are recognized with the innovative SME seal by the R&D State Secretariat, may have another advantage, since this bonus will be fully compatible with the fiscal deduction for R&D activities that collects the regulations of the Corporate Tax. For the rest of companies and entities, the bonus will be compatible with the deduction regime provided that it does not apply on the same researcher.
