Gas Natural Fenosa produce cuatro cortos de reconocidos directores españoles
The energy company enters the world of production with the help of 4 Spanish directors of the stature of Paco Plaza, Rodrigo Cortés, Jaume Balagueró and Juan Cruz who make four stories of the fantasy and thriller genre.
Gas Natural Fenosa has just presented the Cinergía project, a novel initiative to bring energy efficiency to the general public through the seventh art and promote talent in the film industry of our country.
With this project, which is a step forward in its film sponsorship activity, the energy company has made the leap into film production by selecting four young and renowned Spanish directors (Paco Plaza, Rodrigo Cortés, Jaume Balagueró and Juan Cruz) who enjoy great popularity among the public, to direct four short films linked to energy efficiency and the company's products and services.
Los cortos, que se estrenarán en los principales festivales del país, llegarán hasta las salas de cine y los hogares de miles de españoles. These are four stories of the fantasy and thriller genre, without losing sight of humor, starring some of the most recognized actors on the national scene. Each story is related to an aspect of efficient energy: equipment maintenance, home efficiency, work efficiency and sustainable mobility.
During the presentation of the project, which took place this week in San Sebastián, the general director of Communication and President's Office of Gas Natural Feonsa, Jordi García Tabernero, and the director of the San Sebastián Festival, José Luis Rebordinos, signed the agreement that makes the energy company an official sponsor of this event for the third time. What will be the 62nd edition of the contest will take place from September 19 to 27, 2014.
Cuatro historias sobre eficiencia energética
The short film Ultraviolet, is a classic horror short directed by Paco Plaza and starring Julián Villagrán and Maribel Verdú, which is about a painting restorer who has to spend the entire night working to rescue a hidden painting, showing us some of the most common mistakes when it comes to harnessing energy.
1.58 is the title chosen by director Rodrigo Cortés, who has filmed a short film with an air of thriller and horror starring Manuela Vellés, with the special collaboration of Gabino Diego and journalist Julia Otero, which offers the viewer different keys to efficient driving, through the story of a girl who drives carelessly at night, until a group of mysterious assailants cause her serious problems.
Another of the jobs, Tenants, directed by Jaume Balagueró and starring Antonio de la Torre, Manuela Velasco and Fele Martínez, is about a young independent couple who does not know why it is cold in their apartment and decides to call a technician. What they don't know is that the former tenants have a lot to do with this situation.
Finalmente, Juan Cruz ha dirigido Domonic, a futuristic short starring Terele Pávez and Jose Coronado, about the story of Gastón, a single man who is trying to overcome the death of his mother and who sees how an advanced intelligent home management system takes control of his house. A story that questions the lack of awareness of efficiency.
