Hitachi to show new concept for DSNG at IBC 2014
Starting from a very compact concept, the new design of the vehicles offers space for up to six operators housed in a Mercedes Sprinter.
Hitachi Kokusai Electric Turkey (HKT) will present a new concept of DSNG mobile unit at IBC 2014. Starting from a very compact concept, the new design of the vehicles offers space for up to six operators, being able to work in difficult environments of extreme cold or heat.
Designed and built at its facility in Istanbul, Turkey, the vehicle offers a flexible, full-production mobile digital environment for news production and satellite delivery (DSNG) with advanced capabilities. Starting from a Mercedes Sprinter 516, Hitachi has designed a compact structure capable of housing six operator positions and 139 RU of equipment. The HD production system supports eight cameras with 2-ME, a 24-input multi-format switcher and a 34x34 HD/SD 3G matrix. Thanks to ultra-flexible vehicle routing it is possible to quickly adapt the vehicle to any production with slo-mo, graphics and server configuration.
In addition, two 46-inch monitors are equipped with multi-viewer systems for source and program monitoring.
Hitachi has even gone so far as to replace the vehicle's sliding doors in order to have more space in its interior design. Motorized coils and a sliding mechanism at the rear of the vehicle ensure wiring is laid and rewinded in minimal time.
This vehicle is equipped with the new Hitachi Z-HD6000 cameras with 3MOS sensor sensors and a super slow motion camera SK-HD1500.
