José Manuel Soria: “the Government is unequivocally committed to a strong and quality RTVE”
The Minister of Industry assures in 'Los Desayunos' that the Government's unequivocal commitment is that public television continues to exist.
The Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism, José Manuel Soria, invited this Wednesday to TVE's breakfasts, has pointed out in reference to the viability of RTVE that "the Government's unequivocal commitment is that there continues to be a Spanish public television that is strong and of quality."
"In all European countries there is public television and, therefore, whatever the model, not the same model in some countries as in others, there must continue to be public television. That is the unequivocal commitment that the government has, that it continues to exist and that a Spanish public television that is strong and of quality continues to exist," he explained.
Minister Soria added that "it is true that over the last few years there have been budgetary restrictions but it is also true that with the improvement of the economic situation that restriction will be less every day and, therefore, we will be able to enter a path of budgetary normality."
