'La Isla Mínima', 'Magical Girl', 'El Niño', and 'Eight Basque Surnames' will compete for the Forqué Award for best film.

XX Forqué PrizeManuela Vellés and Raúl Arévalo together with the president of EGEDA, Enrique Cerezo, have been in charge of announcing the nominees for the José María Forqué 2015 Award. The ceremony for these awards established by EGEDA will take place on January 12 at the Palacio Municipal de Congresos in Madrid, thus inaugurating the film awards season in Spain.

The management entity for audiovisual producers, which is now 25 years old, created the José María Forqué Award in 1996 with the aim of disseminating and promoting the Spanish audiovisual industry.

Enrique Cerezo has also revealed that the rights management entity will award the EGEDA Gold Medal, which rewards the career of a producer or production company, to the Spanish Radiotelevision Corporation for its commitment since 1981 in the production of more than a thousand titles.

Raúl Arévalo for 'La Isla Mínima', José Sacristán for 'Magical Girl', Javier Gutiérrez for 'La Isla Mínima' and Karra Elejalde for 'Eight Basque Surnames'.
