Rovi Video now has a presence in 70 countries
The multimedia database with more than 6 million television shows, more than half a million movies, and one million celebrities allows Rovi customers to create unique entertainment experiences by incorporating metadata.
Rovi Corporation has announced at CES 2015 that its Rovi Video product already has a presence in more countries than any other provider, recently reaching 70 countries. Rovi Video is a go-to source for metadata on television shows, movies and sporting events. Rovi is available in North America, Latin America, Europe, and most recently in key Asian markets such as China, Japan and India.
Rovi Video's database encompasses multimedia data from more than 6 million television shows, more than half a million movies, and one million celebrities, along with cast and personality biographies, photos, and image-related content. Experienced native speakers create local domain metadata, search for movies, TV series and episodes, and celebrity profiles and descriptors such as moods and topics, making it easier for customers to integrate localized metadata into their products.
By integrating Rovi Video's massive database, its clients can offer users innovative ways to discover content, connect and consume entertainment across multiple platforms and devices.
Kathy Weidman, senior vice president and general manager of Metadata at Rovi, highlighted that “Rovi Video allows our customers to create unique entertainment experiences by incorporating metadata.”
