Filmax prepares the filming of 'Citas', version of the British series 'Dates'
At the head of the project is Pau Freixas ('Pulseras Rojas'), who has Marta Pahissa, Patrícia Font and Paco Caballero in the direction and production team.
Filmax finalizes preparations for filming the series Cites (in Spanish Others), which will start in February in Barcelona and will be broadcast by Televisió de Catalunya.
Through the Arca Audiovisual label, the company embarks on the filming of a new series, based on the original format of the British series Dates, created by Brian Elsley, also responsible for the well-known series Skins, which mixes drama, comedy and romance. The series premiered in June 2013 on Channel 4.
At the head of the project is Pau Freixas (Red bracelets). This time it will feature 24 actors, including Eduardo Noriega, Aida Folch, Bea Segura, Ingrid Rubio, Nausicaa Bonnín, Eva Santolaria, Laia Costa, Isak Férriz, Biel Durán, Jordi Rico, and Jordi Sánchez, among others.
The series, which combines drama and comedy, addresses the world of blind dates through characters who will cross paths with each other and whom viewers will meet again throughout the season.
In each chapter two quotes will be shown where the fears, secrets and expectations of protagonists who are looking for love, sex or simply not to be alone will become evident.
After a first meeting through a contact website, the characters will see each other face to face, full of insecurities but also hope. Thus we will learn different stories, from that of a primary school teacher who sees how 40 is approaching and her life plans are postponed again, to that of a young widower, father of three daughters who wants to find love again, to that of a girl who needs to resolve doubts about her sexuality.
Pau Freixas has Marta Pahissa, Patrícia Font and Paco Caballero in the direction and production team. The head of scriptwriters, Iván Mercadé, has the support of a team made up of Patrícia Font, Miguel Ibáñez, Eric Navarro, Daniel González, Eduard Sola, Pol Cortecans and Blanca Bardagil.
The series Cites It will be filmed in Catalan and consists of 13 45-minute chapters.
