NBC prepares the pilot of the TVE series 'The Mysteries of Laura'

It is the first time that a Spanish fiction reaches the pilot phase of the Upfronts. The TVE fiction, produced by Boomerang TV, already has an adaptation in Russia

The production of TVE and Boomerang TV The Mysteries of Laura prepares its jump to the United States for the NBC Universal channel. Several North American networks have shown great interest in the fiction, but NBC will finally be in charge of producing, together with Warner Bros TV, a pilot for the series that will be filmed in the coming weeks.

Jeff Rake will be in charge of adapting the script and will also serve as executive producer alongside Aaron Kaplan and Greg Berlanti. The pilot will later be presented at the Upfronts, where the series for the following season in the United States are chosen. It is the first time that a Spanish fiction passes the filter and reaches the pilot phase.

It is not the first time that Laura's mysteries adapts abroad. A few months ago the series began its journey in Russia with an adaptation by the production company Starmedia Film, which will premiere in September on Channel 1. And it has not been the only country interested, future adaptations are currently being negotiated in several countries.

Laura's mysteries is a police comedy, with self-contained chapter plots and others in continuity involving love and family, which narrates the adventures of Laura Lebrel, a modern-day woman who combines her professional career as a brilliant inspector with her personal life. This TVE series has obtained very good audience results in the two seasons broadcast so far. Furthermore, the good reception of the original series has also crossed borders and has been seen on several international television stations.

The third season of the series has already been recorded, with careful exterior locations and an important cast of top-level chapter actors. It consists of 13 episodes in which the chapter plots will continue in which Laura will face new and interesting cases, very imaginative and in which humor is very present.
