Mediacorp Singapore selects EVS for the production of news in HD

EVS will provide infrastructure for 56 HD-SDI channels, 500 TB of storage and more than half a thousand editing stations for journalists.

Mediacorp, the main average group in Singapore, has selected a complete end -to -end solution EVS For the production of news in its new facilities in Mediapolis, currently under construction.

Jerome Wauthoz, Marketing Director for EVS Broadcast centers, stressed that “the size and scope of this installation is impressive. The production environment of maximum reliability provided by EVS solutions and the unimportant speed for the production of last -minute news is of critical importance. The workflow will also provide instant access to all the essential content for the production and to the great library of Mediacorp”.

When it is fully implemented at the end of this year, the EVS PAM system will provide infrastructure for 56 HD-SDI channels, 500 TB of storage equivalent to about 12,000 hours of high definition content (more than 20,000 hours of low resolution), and more than half a thousand edition stations for journalists.

The Integrated EVS solution will facilitate all aspects in news production, from recording to broadcast, including central shared and file storage, high and low resolution navigation, in situ and remote edition, reproduction and integration with NRCS.
