With TVUPack, HD video images can be broadcast directly from a drone in production or even to a CDN for live distribution over the Internet.

TVU and DJI

TVU Networks y DJI have announced the launch of the first package for aerial shots, giving professionals and channels the possibility of transmitting live in Full HD to any broadcast equipment such as a mixer or matrix or directly to a CDN. Transmission can be carried out over WiFi, Ethernet, microlink, satellite or MIMO MESH connections.

The solution combines DJI's Inspire 1 drone and TVU's new video over IP link, TVU One. This solution is capable of transmitting Full HD video with a latency of less than for more than twenty minutes of flight.

TVU, a provider of IP video transmission solutions, and DJI, considered one of the leaders in drone manufacturing, also announced during NAB 2015 a strategic agreement that includes full integration of the complete TVUPack family with each DJI drone solution, including the Phantom series. In this way, drone technology becomes more accessible for production companies and broadcasters, since it will be possible to quickly integrate HD images into workflows.
This joint solution has already been used in the field during the launch event of the new Phantom 3 drones. During the event, three drones transmitted live aerial video from Santorini, Singapore and Hollywood for simultaneous events in Munich, London and New York City using TVUPack transmitters and the TVU Grid IP live video distribution solution.
