Pau Freixas premieres ‘cites’, a new series of audiovisual ark for TV3
After exciting viewers with Red bracelets, Pau Freixas directs this fiction based on the British series ‘Dates’.
This Monday opens Cites, the new series produced by Audiovisual Arca (Grupo Filmax) for Televisió de Catalunya. The first chapter can be seen from 22.35 hours on TV3. Directed by Pau Freixas, it is based on the British series Dates.
The series consists of 13 episodes of 45 minutes and addresses the world of blind quotations around 24 characters that will be crossed and reuniting throughout the season. In each chapter, two quotes will be shown where fears, secrets and expectations of some protagonists seek love, sex or simply not being alone will be evident.
After a first encounter through a contact website, the characters will look face to face, full of insecurities but also of hope. Thus we will know different stories: that of a primary teacher who sees how the 40 and her life plans approach again; that of a young widower and father of three daughters who want to find love again; that of a ‘scort’ that tries to change their way of relating to men; or that of a girl who needs to solve doubts about her sexuality before marrying.
Some of the best known faces of our film and television scenes such as Eduardo Noriega, Aida Folch, Isak Férriz, Eva Santolaria, Francesc Garrido, Biel Duran, Júlia Molins, Nausicaa Bonnin, Laia Costa, Txell Aixndri, Aida Ost among others.
After exciting viewers with Red bracelets, Pau Freixas directs this fiction that enters an adult world. Freixas, who is also an executive producer, has been the visible head of the team of directors and screenwriters who have created Cites. An address that has shared with Marta Pahissa, Patricia Font and Paco Caballero, the head of Development of Arca Audiovisual, Ivan Mercadé, and a group of screenwriters formed by Miguel Ibáñez Monroy, Daniel González, Eric Navarro, Patricia Font, Eduard Solo, Pol Cortecans and Blanca Bardagil.
The filming of ‘Cites’ was held in Barcelona for three months, starting in love and ending Sant Jordi's day. The result, 26 appointments that you can follow from next Monday.
