Riedel supplied its technology to Dock10 for the British election debate
The MediCity UK production complex in Manchester hosted the debate with the main political leaders attending the British elections. MediorNet networks and Riedel's Artist intercom system played a decisive role in this live event.
Riedel provided a robust communications solution for the ITV debate between political leaders in the run-up to the UK election. During this event, held at the MediaCityUK complex, Dock10 used the Riedel Artist digital matrix intercom system and the MediorNet network to enable flexible and reliable real-time transport of video, data and intercom signals to the three main broadcasters Sky, BBC and ITV, as well as to the Hub Media Center where more than three hundred journalists followed the debate.
John O'Shaughnessy, head of technology operations at Dock10, admits that "Riedel's MediorNet real-time network played a significant role in this event, offering great flexibility, reliability and stability throughout an exciting, action-packed and totally unpredictable day. With such a reliable signal transport solution, the Dock10 technology team was able to deliver everything that was asked of them on such a demanding day."
Dock10 is usually a technological provider of programs such as The Voice o Dragons In the United Kingdom, it also usually deploys MediorNet networks to broadcasters such as ITV or the BBC for specific events and for the production centers of Pie Factory and MediaCityUK.
In the case of the election debate, Dock10 was able to use fiber connectivity throughout the venue to link all areas in MediaCityUK and enable transmissions to and from a large number of broadcasters. The MediorNet CWDM option improved this capability and offered greater capacity ensuring great flexibility and reliability in signal delivery.

Por su parte las diferentes señales de contribución ITV ITV se procesaron en el HQ3, dando Dock10 servicio, vía MediorNet a la plaza frente al complejo donde se dispusieron diferentes unidades móviles que cubrían el evento. Un segundo MediorNet se empleó en el Media Hub Centre, donde los periodistas acreditados pudieron seguir el debate y otras señales de televisión.
