The series is made up of 26 22-minute episodes with a new format that will incorporate, among other elements, video clips, urban sports, puppets and surprising digital effects as a complement to the adventures of the four protagonists.
Planeta Junior, the production company Isla Audiovisual and the multinational record label Sony Music have joined forces to co-produce a live action series that will bring children the music their parents listen to.
Oliver Rock focuses on the peculiar universe of dreams of Oliver, a boy who dreams of a rock band inside a labyrinth. The series is aimed at boys and girls from 7 to 12 years old, a segment of the public that today has few attractive proposals designed especially for them.
Based on an original idea by Isla Audiovisual, Oliver Rock offers a very powerful visual proposal that will mix different styles and combine action, humor and a lot of attitude based on music. The series is made up of 26 22-minute episodes with a new format that will incorporate, among other elements, video clips, urban sports, puppets and surprising digital effects as a complement to the adventures of the four protagonists.
Oliver Rock It is the first live-action series produced by Planeta Junior. The company, responsible for marketing the series and licensing worldwide, presented the production at the recent edition of MIPTV, where it was very well received.
Ignacio Segura de Lassaletta, general director of Planeta Junior, states that "although in the past we have worked with music-based products, this is our first time as co-producers of a live-action series of these characteristics. I can't think of better partners than Sony Music and Isla Audiovisual to create a format that the market, in my opinion, has been asking for for a long time."
José María Barbat, president of Sony Music Iberia, maintains that "music content for children has been a strategic business area for Sony Music Spain for years. When we learned about the Billy Boom Band project and its television extension to Oliver Rock We do not hesitate to want to be part of this fantastic adventure with which we hope to once again change the rules of the game in our sector.”
David García, general director of Isla Audiovisual, adds that "for Isla Audiovisual, Oliver Rock is a strategic project and a wonderful adventure. And adventures must be lived with the best possible companions. In this sense our partners, Planeta Junior and Sony Music, are difficult to beat. Together we are going to work to ensure that Oliver Rock be a new reference in the world of children's content."
