Glookast will present at IBC its tools designed to move media between different platforms

Glookast, a company specialized in solutions based on workflows in MXF, will present its family of solutions for moving media, Glooport, at IBC 2015.

This modular line of products offers the possibility of intelligently and safely moving media between different platforms in both production and post-production environments.

Glooport Media Service Engine is the platform that hosts a variety of software services that ensure the ability to securely move media between platforms. It is available either as a complete turnkey application or through individualized services, depending on needs.

These services include:

• Media Parker: Integrated via API with Avid Interplay, media|parker allows you to easily move media, sequences and projects to third-party storage through Interplay. Metadata is preserved in Interplay.
• Media Retriever: Provides recovery of full or partial clips and/or tracks from archive or nearline storage. Its intelligent approach allows you to retrieve only the clip segments that are used in a project.
• Media Transformer: Adds on-demand transcoding capability of native media from nearline to online storage. It also adds the ability to create representations of the material that we have “parked”.
• Media Connector: Allows the transfer of media and metadata to and from third-party systems, as well as flattening file functionality. It also adds cross-platform distribution capabilities to the workflow, repackages media and translates metadata, distributing content to single or multiple platforms.
