Prado del Rey will have two new production studios

The new Studios 6 and 7 will eventually allow for greater integration of all operations at the Prado del Rey complex.

The president of RTVE, José Antonio Sánchez, has shared with the members of the Corporation's Board of Directors his satisfaction with the approval of the general State budgets for 2016 and has thanked the government's initiative, as this measure provides the Corporation with extra income of 100 million euros.

In the economic-financial field, Sánchez has stressed the importance of continuing to reduce indirect expenses and has recalled the savings objective of 12 million euros for 2015. He has also highlighted the development of the investment policy in innovation and commercial activity, pointing out as the objective of these actions "to provide RTVE with instruments that allow it to efficiently fulfill its public service task and have a production and management capacity adapted to current and future needs, with the lowest possible costs."

Regarding real estate policy, he recalled the construction project of two production studios: Studio 6, with similar characteristics to Studio 5, and another larger one, Studio 7. The completion of this plan will eventually allow greater integration of all operations in Prado del Rey, facilitating greater operational capacity and greater performance of resources. The president has also announced the preparation of an Innovation Plan that will be presented soon.

Renewal of production contracts

The Board of Directors of RTVE has approved the expansion into 18 new installments of In yours or mine, the interview space hosted by Bertín Osborne on La 1, which since its premiere last September has become the revelation format on the public network this season.

In yours or mine It has been gaining audience since its premiere and this Wednesday it achieved its record of viewership and screen share, bringing together 3,939,000 people in front of the television and 20.6% acceptance (sum of the live and delayed audience on the same day).

In addition, the Board of Directors of RTVE has approved new installments of the afternoon series Acacias 38 y Six Sisters, from the gastronomic program Towers in the kitchen, from space eighty me again and of Life Safety.
