Canon CJ20ex7.8B, a new 2/3” portable zoom for 4K broadcast cameras

This 2/3” 4K portable zoom lens designed for professional 4K broadcast, has a 20x zoom and a range of focal lengths from 7.8 mm to 156 mm.

Anticipated as a prototype at the latest IBC, Canon now announces the launch of the new CJ20ex7.8B, a portable 2/3” 4K zoom lens for professional broadcast, with 20x zoom and a range of focal lengths from 7.8 mm to 156 mm.

Strengthening Canon's range of 4K broadcast lenses for cameras with 2/3" size sensors, the versatile new lens joins the CJ12ex4.3B, a portable 2/3" 4K zoom lens with the world's widest focal length range.

The new CJ20ex7.8B offers a high level of performance, making it a lens designed for 4K broadcast cameras. Thanks to optimal positioning of the lenses and precise assembly of its components, the CJ20ex7.8B achieves high-quality 4K resolution images, from the center to the peripheral areas of the image field with excellent color reproduction.

The new CJ20ex7.8B features a 2x multiplier, which, even when recording with the maximum telefocal length of 312mm, provides great optical performance in line with 4K broadcast cameras.

With a compact and lightweight body design, it makes it easy to carry and record on your shoulder.
