Grass Valley organizes a webinar on process automation in media environments
Broadcasters are becoming producers and distributors of digital media, with strong growth in the digital media market around the world. This seminar will analyze this new environment and the tools that help automate media processes.
This year could go down in history as the year broadcasters truly became producers and distributors of digital media, with strong growth in the digital media market around the world. That transition raises fundamental questions related to both the cost of producing appropriate digital content and the means to maximize the revenue generated by that content.
To analyze this new environment Grass Valley will organize a webinar on December 3.
In this webinar, Grass Valley news marketing specialist Ed Casaccia will show us how the latest versions of control room and newsroom production technologies can be combined to address those issues. Automating the process of preparing linear content for digital distribution can dramatically reduce production costs, while intelligent content application and stream management with partners like Anvato open the door to significant new revenue streams and new methods for selling advertising.
This webinar will help professionals identify the touchpoints between traditional linear production and digital production, leverage existing work to send content to new destinations, and how to create efficient rules-based workflows.
We will also explore the possibilities of automatic live programming targeting for video-on-demand delivery and automatic insertion of technical instructions for digital ad insertion, programmatic ad sales and other technologies to maximize revenue.
Ed Casaccia, coordinator of this webinar, joined Grass Valley in 2003 and has since been involved in the development and marketing of three generations of news production technologies. Prior to Grass Valley, he led the launch of the world's first file-based news production system at Sony. His deep news production experience is based on his 25-year successful career as a news producer and newsroom manager in major U.S. television markets. He has been recognized with a Peabody Award for his work on KGO-TV's coverage of the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake.
