'The Bride' is the favorite for the 2016 Goya Awards. Actors Asier Etxeandia and Emma Suárez have announced at the Film Academy headquarters the films and professionals nominated in this edition.

Reading Goyas Nominees 2016

The 1,145 members of the Film Academy with voting rights have chosen the nominees for the 2016 Goya Awards.

Asier Etxendia and Emma Suárez have given readers to the nominees in this thirtieth edition.

The bride, directed by Paula Ortiz, is the favorite film with twelve nominations, including best film, direction and leading actress.

Nobody wants the night, by Isabel Coixet, has achieved nine nominations; A perfect day, by Fernando León de Aranoa and The unknown, by Dani de la Torre, eight have been made. Truman, by Cesc Gay, obtains six nominations.

In acting, the Goya for best actress could go to Inma Cuesta (The bride), Penelope Cruz (Ma Ma), Juliette Binoche (Nobody wants the night) and Natalia de Molina (Roof and food). As actors, Ricardo Darín (Truman), Pedro Casablanc (in the role of Luis Bárcenas in B.), Luis Tosar (The unknown) and Asier Etxeandía (The bride).

The delivery gala will be held on February 6 with Dani Rovira repeating as host.
