More than 2.2 million Spaniards now consume on-demand television daily
The consumption of time-shifted content increases in February by 15.6% compared to the same month of the previous year.
The average number of people in Spain who consume at least one minute of time-shifted television daily reached 2,234,000 people last February, which represents a growth of 15.6% compared to the same month of the previous year, which had 1,931,000.
According to the monthly report of television audiences of Windward Communication With data from Kantar Media, time-shifted television consumption has grown in one year from 3 minutes per person per day (February 2015) to 4 minutes per person per day (February 2016).
The number of households that have consumed at least one minute of time-shifted content during the past month rises to 11,387,000, more than one million above the accumulated time-shifted audience from a year ago (10,355,000 people).
Of those viewers who watch time-shifted television daily, the average daily time-shifted consumption goes from 61.3 minutes in February 2015 to 76.4 minutes last month. This measurement has been carried out for a year and Kantar Media measures time-shifted television consumption, which means both Vosdal (time-shifted consumption on the same day of the original broadcast) and viewings in the 7 days following the original broadcast.
