Comcast will integrate DreamWorks Animation into the Universal Filmed Entertainment Group division, which includes companies such as Universal Pictures and Fandango.

Steve Burke, CEO of NBC Universal, has been convinced that the addition of DreamWorks will help develop the film, television, theme parks and consumer products businesses in the coming years. “The opportunities are enormous,” predicted the executive.

Jeffrey Katzenberg, CEO and co-founder of DreamWorks Animation, will be named president of DreamWorks New Media, which will encompass the studio's interests in Awesomeness TV and Nova, as well as a consultant at NBCUniversal.
