MAC 2016: meeting point for professionals in the audiovisual sector in Catalonia

The 17th edition of the Mercat Audiovisual de Catalunya (MAC) will host 33 participating companies, tripling the number compared to the previous edition.

The 17th edition of the Mercat Audiovisual de Catalunya (MAC) will host a total of thirty-three participating companies, if we add the companies that will participate in the MAC Fair and those that will offer presentations, organize round tables or do some type of demonstration throughout the event.
It is a figure that almost triples that of last year and confirms the consolidation of this event for audiovisual professionals in which companies in the sector specialized in different fields and from various parts of the Catalan geography participate.

The event will take place on June 1 at its traditional location in Roca Umbert Fàbrica de les Arts de Granollers (Barcelona)

The exhibition area will have 600 square meters in which companies such as VSN, Lavinia, Audiotecnologias, Enacast, Silence Electroacústica, Crash Serveis Audiovisuals, Disefoto, Mediacòpter, Lloguer Audiovisual, 16Nou Serveis Audiovisuals or Nov25Studio will exhibit their latest developments. The future Hotel d’Empreses of the Center Audiovisual will also be present, a space aimed at coworkings that will have more than 800 m2 and will house emerging companies in the audiovisual sector.

In addition, MAC will launch the Tecno MAC space, powered by Xnergic, of Tecnocampus Mataró, a project created in a university environment that aims to awaken technological vocations among young people between 13 and 18 years old. At Tecno MAC, projects carried out by students linked to robotics and audiovisuals will be shown and demonstrations will be carried out with 3D printers and scanners.

Like last year, the fair will include the Speech corner space, dedicated to presentations. In this edition, VSN will explain how to redefine investments in broadcast IT to reduce costs; Lavinia will present her proposal for social wall at this MAC; DFLyQ Vision will demonstrate cable cam, a system that allows spectacular tracking shots both indoors and outdoors; A Vista de Drone will talk about the world of drones and how to introduce them in the professional and recreational fields; Disefoto will bring the latest in photography, film and video; Enacast will create an Internet radio in just 20 minutes and Nov25Studio will present how to create an interactive video through online platforms. Tecnocampus Mataró, the University of Vic and the EMAD de la Garriga will also participate in the Speech Corner.

In addition to the companies linked to the fair, renowned companies in the audiovisual world will also participate in the event, such as the digital video and social media production company YouPlanet, which will participate with a round table with prominent influencers from the YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat and Vine platforms. The Ivanovich Games company will also offer visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves fully in the world of virtual reality gaming.
