Medina Media provides Cellnex with 4K-UHD images for a pioneering demonstration
This demonstration taking place at BIT Broadcast 2016 is based on the transmission of a live 4K UHD signal with mixing and switching with other 4K UHD signals recorded and encoded in real time in collaboration with Ericsson.
The Carnival of Cádiz and Holy Week in Andalusia in 4K-UHD have been chosen by Cellnex Telecom for a pioneering demonstration in high definition that these days brings to BIT Broadcast 2016. It is a preview of the material produced by Medina Media in 4K-UHD. These sequences, recorded at 50 frames per second with Sony PXW-FS7 cameras and optical Fujinon y Canon, have been chosen for their artistic and technical quality for Cellnex's pioneering demonstration that consists of the transmission of a live 4K UHD signal with mixing and switching with other 4K UHD signals recorded and encoded in real time in collaboration with Ericsson.
These 4K-UHD contents are part of the trilogy of films that Medina Media 4K is producing together with Canal Sur, which feature the three main Andalusian celebrations: El Carnaval, Semana Santa and El Rocío. The three feature films, each 90 minutes long, are in the post-production phase and will be shown in theaters in 2017.
Ricardo Medina, CEO of Medina Media, during his participation in a panel on Ultra High Definition, shared his vision as one of the most prominent 4K-UHD content producers in Europe. In addition, Medina will advance the main lines of the second edition of the 4K-UHD Summit, which will take place on November 10 and 11 in Seville. In the first edition, professionals from more than twenty countries were present, sharing experiences and solutions for the evolution of technology and content in Ultra High Definition.
