Qu Series mixers now have an all-new add-on that makes them even easier to control: Qu-Control, a customizable app for iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad.

Allen & Heath has announced the introduction of significant improvements to the features and ecosystem of the Qu series compact digital mixers. Accompanying the release of firmware V1.9 are some key updates to the Qu-Pad app, factory microphone presets, created by leading brands such as Shure y Sennheiser, simplified DAW control for Windows plus the new, customizable app for installation applications.

Qu-Pad V1.9 has become the most powerful iPad app of its kind, fully implementing every setting, parameter and control of Qu mixers. In addition to control of live mixing, processing, routing and effects functions, Qu-Pad now offers full access to scene management, control of 15 mixer SoftKeys on all Qu series mixers, AMM, I/O configuration and stereo and multitrack recording/playback over Qu-Drive. Also new to the app is the ability for the user to establish permissions with password-protected user profiles.

Qu Series mixers now have an all-new add-on that makes them even easier to control: Qu-Control, a customizable app for iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad. It offers five screens with up to 15 control widgets each, and allows control of parameters such as source selection for background music, main zone level, scene recovery or microphone control. Password protection prevents unwanted access to controls, making it the ideal solution for wireless control in venues, conference rooms, hotel lobbies and other fixed sound installations.

Control driver for Mac and Windows

Following user suggestions, the DAW control driver, until now only available for Mac, will soon also be available for Windows. The driver allows easy integration of the Qu mixer into the studio environment, emulating the popular HUI and Mackie control protocols, allowing you to control various DAWs, such as Cubase, Sonar and Pro Tools.

The V1.9 version of Qu firmware also adds support for the recently announced Qu-SB compact smart mixer/interface, designed as a smart stage box that offers a good solution for bands, concert halls, model studios, schools and corporate events that need a professional mixer for live mixing/recording, in a small space.
