Allen & Heath launches firmware V1.6 for its SQ series, incorporating highly requested features, quality improvements and new compressors from the company's flagship dLive series.

Among the new features of version 1.6, the ability to split each of the three stereo matrices into a pair of mono matrices, allowing the use of up to 6 mono and new possibilities for fill speakers y audio management in multi-room spaces.

Version 1.6 also introduces a set of scene-related improvements, which significantly improve workflow in multiple applications. The new Cue List function optimizes scene management, allowing quick insertion and rearrangement of scenes. The integration of MIDI Show Control allows you to retrieve by cue number in addition to the scene number. The option Scene Crossfade offers smooth level changes between scenes, a useful feature for theatrical applications. Additionally, the ability to switch inputs and mixes between mono and stereo on a per-scene basis provides a streamlined workflow for festival and venue sound technicians who frequently adjust input settings.

Another new feature included in V1.6 is the ability to use SQ-Drive and USB audio interface simultaneously, allowing simultaneous redundant recording to the computer and SQ-Drive.
