Hispasat participates in the Brussels Digital Festival
The Spanish operator presents its satellite connectivity solution for high-speed trains and moderates a debate on the television ecosystem of the future.
Hispasat will participate in the Digital Festival 2016, an event organized by Forum Europe and sponsored by Jesus (EMEA Satellite Operators Association) y Microsoft which is being held this Tuesday in Brussels and which aims to offer in the European capital an overview of the impact and potential offered by the adoption of digital technologies.
Hispasat will present its new solution for high-speed trains that, through an advanced hybrid satellite and 4G system, will revolutionize the on-board connectivity experience, providing passengers with video on demand, live television, news and Internet access.
Furthermore, against the background of massive video consumption in today's world, Ester Fernández, Marketing Manager of Hispasat, will moderate the interactive session Future TV ecosystem: more quality, more flexibility and more screens, which will have representatives from Proximus, Nagravision, Amazon and a pay television operator. Satellite remains the most important technology for the distribution of audiovisual content and, through its integration with terrestrial networks, it will continue to maintain the efficiency of its services.
El evento terminará con una retransmisión en directo de un partido de la Eurocopa que, gracias a una demostración de la solución SAT>IP preparada por Hispasat, que convierte en IP la señal recibida vía satélite, podrá verse en las tablets y los smartphones de los asistentes sin necesidad de utilizar la red terrestre de banda ancha.
ESOA will also be represented by other companies in the sector such as Inmarsat, which will present its “cloud black box” service for aviation security, or Intelsat, which will explain its advances in automobile connectivity, among others.
Through different debates, workshops and live demonstrations, ESOA members, including Hispasat, will show the diversity of applications and services offered by satellite operators to contribute to the advanced digitalization of various sectors such as trains, automobiles, airplanes, emergencies, media or entertainment.
