Blackmagic Design has released an update to its ATEM line of mixers that provides new features for images transmitted via the multi-view output and also provides the ability to swap the position of the main signal and preview windows. Version 6.9 can now be downloaded for free from the website Blackmagic Design.

This update offers new features for all ATEM Production Studio 4K and ATEM 2 M/E Broadcast Studio 4K models that allow users to change the window layout in multi-view mode, depending on the particular needs of a given live production. On the other hand, it is possible to select the VU meters corresponding to each incoming signal that you wish to view and modify their transparency, in order to give them greater brightness or reduce their intensity on the image. Likewise, the position of the windows showing the main signal and advances can be exchanged, as well as the security area indicators activated or deactivated.

The new version also allows you to add rotating visual effects to the ATEM 2 M/E Broadcast Studio 4K model. This gives live production users an unprecedented amount of options with exceptional quality, at a maximum resolution of 2160p60.

Grant Petty, CEO of Blackmagic Design, assures that "version 6.9 offers greater flexibility in the multi-view mode, in order to be able to customize it according to the requirements of each project. This update is exciting, because it adds innovative functionality completely free of charge. In addition, by using ATEM switchers with our line of HyperDeck cameras and recorders, users have a comprehensive solution to carry out live productions in any definition with a maximum resolution of 2160 60p.
