Edmond RochAntonio Resines, president of this entity ratified in the General Assembly on May 9, 2015, and Edmon Roch, vice president of the institution after the departure just ten days ago of Gracia Querejeta citing "problems in making her position compatible with her numerous professional commitments", have informed the Academy today of their irrevocable resignation from all their positions and functions.

In a letter addressed to the academics, both professionals have stated that "this decision has been made as a result of serious discrepancies with part of the Board of Directors that have made the daily work of the presidential shortlist in the institution impossible in recent months."

Both Edmon Roch and Antonio Resines wanted to convey that it has been an honor to preside over this entity. "At all times, our intention has been to perform our duties in the best possible way and always for the benefit of the sector we have represented. To this end, we have undertaken new projects, some still in development, which we hope will end up bearing fruit for the good of the Academy," they stated in a statement.
