Borja Prado presents his resignation as president of Mediaset Spain

A statement from Mediaset Spain has confirmed the rumors that have accompanied the news in the broadcast world in recent weeks: Borja Prado will cease to be president and member of the board of directors of Mediaset España after submitting his resignation to the corresponding body.

Borja Prado, whose goodbye will be effective from the next December 31, was appointed director of Mediaset España in the year 2004, coinciding with the listing of this company, first with the independent category and, later, with the proprietary category. 16 years later, in the midst of the company's restructuring, he was named president of Mediaset España, succeeding Alejandro Echevarría.

As president, Prado has successfully led the company through takeover process, segregation and subsequent merger by absorption with the group's parent company, MFE-MEDIAFOREUROPE, completed last May. After that, he continued to hold the presidency of Grupo Audiovisual Mediaset España Comunicación.

The board of directors of Mediaset España has grateful to Borja Prado “for the time, dedication and support he has provided at all times and the invaluable contributions he has made to the company during all these years.” For his part, himself Prado understand this resignation as "the culmination of a long period of service for the Mediaset Group, to which I have always provided my help, defense and collaboration since, more than 23 years ago, I was appointed director."
