Mediaset España relaunches La Siete as a soap opera channel
As of February 14, it launches a rebranding of its image with the claim "Feel the heartbeat. Feel the Siete." Channel Nueve will now host the most successful content from Telecinco and Cuatro in its programming.
La Siete, the Mediaset España channel, will be reborn on February 14, Valentine's Day, as an exclusive soap opera channel. The network will premiere unreleased productions in Spain along with a selection of titles already recognized by the public in a series of revivals of some of the genre's great classics.
Under an added value proposal, La Siete will explore with its new offer all the options of the current soap opera, giving a twist in the formats and an opportunity for thematic innovation. To achieve this, the channel will offer new genres such as suspense and intrigue, action and adventure, as well as stories based on real events, along with titles articulated around traditional plots.
A programming designed to satisfy the tastes of the three types of female audiences identified by Mediaset España as La Siete's core targets: young women from 18 to 35 years old, to whom it will direct contemporary soap operas; women from 25 to 45 years old, loyal to thrillers, romances and soap operas with greater action, and women from 45 years old, for whom the network will offer a careful selection of traditional classic titles, dramas and period and historical series.
For its part, Nueve, the latest channel launched by Mediaset España on January 2, 2013, will now host in its programming the most successful content from the group's main channels, Telecinco and Cuatro.
New corporate image
Their content changes, their target changes and the image of La Siete also changes. On February 14, Valentine's Day, the channel's logo will integrate a new element into its image: a heart, a universal symbol of love, as a way to represent a grid of content strongly linked to feelings and emotions.
This new element, with volume and heartbeat in its on-air development, will introduce the channel to a new color range featuring gold, red and magenta as a differentiating element compared to other channels. These tones will appear in La Siete's on-air corporate image depending on the type of soap opera they accompany, with the application of different skins and textures with which it aims to innovate and create dynamic elements capable of attracting the attention of viewers.
