Telecinco begins to operate as Mediaset España
Mediaset España Comunicación is the company's new brand, made up of the family of channels Telecinco, Cuatro, LaSiete, Factoría de Ficción, Boing and Divinity; and by the subsidiary companies Publiespaña, Publimedia Gestión, Atlas, Conecta 5 and Telecinco Cinema.
At the Ordinary General Meeting, Telecinco shareholders have approved the adoption of a new corporate brand for the company, which will now be called Mediaset España Comunicación.
A new identity in line with the new dimension acquired by the largest audiovisual group in Spain after the acquisition of Cuatro and 22% of Digital +, which from today brings together the family of channels composed of Telecinco, Cuatro, LaSiete, Factoría de Ficción, Boing and Divinity; and by the subsidiary companies Publiespaña, Publimedia Gestión, Atlas, Conecta 5 and Telecinco Cinema.
The development of the new visual identity of Mediaset España, carried out by the Summa agency, has combined the essence of the corporate image of the majority shareholder Mediaset with elements strongly identifying Telecinco.
On the one hand, the new logo shares the Gill Sans Itálica typography with the original Italian brand, and introduces the Corporate Demi Itálica letter in “Spain” for greater contrast, thus differentiating the two units of the new image.
On the other hand, the upper part of the characteristic Telecinco number “5” has been incorporated into the set as part of the “ñ” of Spain and at the end the sphere shared by all the group's channels has been included, favoring the function of the new corporate identity as an umbrella brand.
Regarding color, the new logo presents Mediaset gray together with Telecinco blue as a secondary corporate color.
