Grup 4 de Comunicació Multimèdia has just launched its new radio station, Canal 4 Ràdio, which will cover the entire Balearic territory.

Palma de Mallorca can be tuned through 99.4 on FM and in the Part Forana through 89.0; while in the rest of the islands it is tuned through its own DTT television channel and, globally, in streaming on www.canal4radio.com.

The journalist Miguel Ángel Ariza will be the director of the new station. Channel 4 Ràdio begins its journey by offering 24 hours of broadcasting every day, eight of them self-produced, starting in September: “Before the end of the year we will be at full cruising speed and broadcasting at modulated frequency in all the Balearic Islands,” says Ariza.

The objectives set by Grup 4 de Comunicació Multimèdia and that Ariza will develop are based on "a radio by and for the listeners. The programs are tailored to what society demands. What is the point of making radio or TV so that no one listens or sees it? We offer information and entertainment, for everyone and with a vocation for public service. Public service from a totally private means of communication."

Grup 4 de Comunicació Multimèdia manages Canal 4 Televisió, the private regional television network of the Balearic Islands. Also part of the group, among others, are the digital newspapers Ciutat.es and Mallorcaesports.es and Ràdio Murta.
