Egatel will demonstrate the energy savings of its transmitters at IBC 2016
The company will bring new WHET series transmitters and gapfillers to Amsterdam, expanding energy efficiency to the entire RF power range.
Egatel will present at IBC 2016 within the WHET (Wideband High Efficiency Transmitters) series, new lines of low, medium and high power TV transmitters and gapfillers, which stand out for a high level of energy efficiency in very small designs.
At low power, the TUWH1000 and RUWH1000 families will be shown, which with the size of 1UR, reach powers of up to 125 Wrms. The new series of UHF TV transmitters and gapfillers, prepared to work on all Digital TV standards (DVB-T/T2, ATSC (3.0 ready) and ISDB-Tb), have been specially designed to meet the needs of low-power installations with space limitations. In addition, they incorporate an advanced adaptive digital pre-correction system that eliminates distortions in the power stage and a powerful, high-performance multi-standard echo canceller, in the case of SFN gapfillers.
In medium power, the new TUWH3000 family of transmitters delivers powers of up to 300 Wrms in only 3UR; With high-performance amplifiers with external fans and redundant power supplies, they offer unbeatable reliability, flexibility and quality of service.
With these launches, the company extends high energy efficiency to the entire range of RF powers, applying Doherty Broadband technology to TV transmitters and gapfillers that will be used in the last phases of coverage in TV networks.
Finally, in high power and as an evolution of the first WHET Series transmitters supplied in the last 2 years, the TLWH7900 series with liquid cooling is born. Its new compact 2UR amplifiers with up to three integrated redundant power supplies and market-leading energy efficiency make these devices the best option to cover large areas with the best guarantees and features.
Within the new area of satellite services, the smart LNB will be exhibited, a piece of equipment developed for the satellite operator Eutelsat. The smart LNB is a state-of-the-art electronic device equipped with a novel transceiver connected to the satellite dish that has a high-efficiency return channel. The terminal will revolutionize the SatCom market, opening the door to a wide range of satellite-connected TV services such as HbbTV, social networks, purchasing operations, on-demand content consumption... as well as Machine to Machine (M2M) applications: e-health, Connected Home or Smart Metering.
