Canal Sur Tv installs Albalá fiber optic transmission terminals

Vitelsa, as project integrator, has supplied the new Crossconnect series signal converter capable of passing video signals from electrical to optical format.

Vitelsa has selected the fiber optic transmission terminal equipment of the new Crossconnect line of Albalá Engineers, model EOP0020C01, for the installations at the main headquarters of Canal Sur TV in San Juan de Aznalfarache (Seville).

The Albalá model EOP0020C01 is a video signal converter from electrical format to optical format or vice versa, with twenty channels configurable as inputs or outputs, contained in a 1RU chassis. This equipment has been designed as a port for optical video signals to be installed in wall boxes on production sets.

Through this equipment, already in operation, all the input and output signals of the Andalusian Radio and Television center pass, including the broadcast signals. Forty 3G/HD-SDI links have been created (twenty in each direction) between the Rack Room and the telecommunications tower.
