Mediapro has joined the European Coordination of Independent Producers (CEPI) as a full associate member. The group thus becomes the first associate member of this organization, and the only representative of the Spanish audiovisual industry, which brings together federations and associations of independent producers with the aim of walking together in the defense of their interests in Europe. CEPI's more than 8,000 members provide the media with more than 16,000 hours of programming including high-cost programs, documentaries and series.

Inés Gete, representative of Mediapro at CEPI, wanted to “thank CEPI for welcoming us to collaborate on the common needs of the sector at the European level” and highlighted that “Mediapro is prepared to work side by side with the rest of the Spanish and European production companies for the interests of the industry.”

For her part, Elena Lai, General Secretary of CEPI, assured that "the incorporation of the Mediapro group to CEPI as an associate member provides wealth and energy to the association at a crucial time. We are delighted to have them by our side as we continue to strengthen the voice of independent producers."

Created in 1994, Mediapro is one of the most important audiovisual groups in Europe, present in 21 countries on four continents and dedicated to all areas of audiovisual production, both film and television.
